Irssi

Irssi is a text based IRC client software. It is very popular.

Installation

Installing irssi is really simple using package manager. It can also be found on Debian DVD3.

 aptitude install irssi

We recommend using irssi with GNU Screen so we will install that as well:

 aptitude install screen

Usage

Irssi is started up with the following command:

 screen irssi

When you return to the server, you can easily get back to your irssi session.

 screen -r

IRC palvelimelle yhdistäminen

 /server irc.palvelin.org

IRC palvelimen yhteyden katkaiseminen

/disconnect

Listaa IRC palvelimia

/server list

Yhdistä verkkoon

/connect verkko

Liity kanavalle

 /join #kanava
